RAIS William Ruto amemteua wakili Dorcus Agik Oduor kuwa Mwanasheria Mkuu wa kwanza mwanamke

Rais Ruto alimteua Bi Oduor, mwenye tajriba ya juu na mweledi katika masuala ya sheria na uendelezaji wa kesi za umma kutwaa wadhifa huo ulioachwa wazi baada ya kutimuliwa kazini kwa aliyekuwa AG Justin Muturi alipovunja baraza lote nzima la mawaziri.

Jina la Bi Oduor limepelekwa katika bunge la kitaifa kupigwa msasa pamoja na mawaziri wengine aliowateua hivi majuzi katika zoezi litakaloanza Agosti 1, 2024.

Katika taarifa kwa wanahabari kutoka kwa Mkuu wa Utumishi wa Umma Felix Koskei, Rais Ruto alisema alimteua Bi Oduor kutokana na “ukwasi, ujuzi na weledi wake katika sheria” aliosema unatakiwa katika utekelezaji wa majukumu ya AG.

Bi Oduor ambaye amehudumu katika sekta ya umma kama wakili wa serikali kwa miaka 30 amepata umaarufu kama kiongozi wa mashtaka katika kesi mbali mbali za uhalifu.
