The government through the foreign PS Korir Sing’oei has announced that the Kenyan embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been attacked. 

Sing'oei in a statement stated that: "“We are deeply concerned by the ongoing siege and attacks on Embassy Premises and personnel in Kinshasa, DRC, including the Kenyan, Uganda and South African Embassies, by marauding protesters who are voicing their discontent on the conflict in the Eastern Part of that country."

This comes after gunfire rang out across parts of Goma, the largest city in the eastern DRC, hours after Rwanda-backed M23 rebels said they had seized it despite the United Nations Security Council calling for an end to the offensive.
